Octatail handles brand-sensitive intelligence — who's selling your products, where, and at what price. Here's how we treat that data.
To run a scan we need the products and markets you ask us to watch, and the contact details of the people we work with on your side. The evidence we gather — listings, prices, seller profiles, images — comes from publicly accessible sources and from data you share with us directly.
Your data is used to deliver the service you've engaged us for: finding unauthorized sellers, tracking price violations, and building the evidence packs you act on. We don't sell it, and we don't use one client's data to benefit another.
Engagements are confidential by default. Findings, evidence, and the fact of an engagement itself are shared only with the people you authorize. Anything we show publicly — on this site or elsewhere — is anonymized.
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with access restricted to the analysts working your account. Access is on a need-to-know basis and reviewed as our team changes.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it when our work together ends. Email hello@octatail.com and we'll handle it.
